Photo session in Sayulita

A photo shoot in Sayulita. Fun and spectacular.

Among colorful houses, palm-roofed restaurants, narrow streets and surfing beaches, Sayulita is the most visited and photogenic destination in the Riviera Nayarit. That is why Underground Studio came to this paradise to capture the beautiful sun-gilded skin color and the authentic Latin beauty of Seika, native from this picturesque magic town.

The photo session in Sayulita began in the most cheerful and decorated street with papel picado (banners in paper), where you can’t miss to to have a photo souvenir. Then we moved on to the original and giant letters, which have been decorated in the contemporary Huichol style. On our way to Los Muertos beach, we crossed the graveyard to finally reach the large stones that enclose the small bay. There, we were able to capture the relief of the landscape and the warmth of the sunset, which made a fabulous game of contrasts with our model’s outfit. 

It was a very pleasant experience where we enjoyed the landscapes, her company and her anecdotes about her childhood in this sublime beach town. At the end, the three of us had a beer watching the sunset.

Just like Seika, many models of big brands have done photo shoots in Sayulita; and even this little pueblo has its own surfing song, made by a Canadian in love with the place, (See link below) let your imagination transport you there; or if you are a fan of Café Tacuba you can immerse your senses with their video “A Couple of Places” where they reflect the free and conscious lifestyle of the young people living here.
