Jonathan Jallet
Originally from Belgium, Jonathan first arrived in Puerto Vallarta as a backpacker traveling the world with a camera. He fell in love with Mexico, decided to stay, and more than a decade later still calls Puerto Vallarta home.
Travel has always been a big part of his life, and photography started as a way of documenting the people and places he encountered along the way. Somewhere in the middle of all that, he met Claudia, built a life in Mexico, and turned something he loved doing into a career he never really planned for.

Bruno
Originally from Puebla, Bruno started his career in television before moving to Puerto Vallarta eight years ago looking for a change of scenery and a new life by the ocean.
Since then, he’s built his own career in audiovisual production, traveled around Mexico for different projects and worked with everyone from local businesses to international productions. He’s the guy who is usually laughing somewhere behind a camera — and somehow still paying attention to everything happening around him.

Claudia Hernandez
Originally from Mexico City, Claudia studied Social Communication and started her career working in radio and television. Photography came later, when she bought her first camera and started photographing friends simply because she enjoyed it.
Those friends told other friends, the little side project kept growing, and eventually Underground Studio was born. She spent the following years traveling through Mexico and Europe before settling in Puerto Vallarta, where she met Jonathan and the two continued traveling, working and eventually building a life together.
Today, when she’s not behind a camera, Claudia also plans experiences and events — something that grew naturally from her love of bringing people together and creating beautiful things.

Underground Studio didn't begin with a business plan. It started with Claudia, a camera, a few friends and recommendations that slowly turned into more and more people asking to be photographed.
Jonathan arrived in Puerto Vallarta from Belgium after years of traveling, the two eventually met, and what had started as a small photography project gradually became something they built together. Bruno later joined the story, bringing his background in television and filmmaking to the studio.
More than a decade later, Puerto Vallarta is home and Underground has grown into a team of photographers and filmmakers working throughout Mexico — although the idea behind it is still pretty simple: good people, good work, and enjoying what we do.
