Elopement Wedding in Cabo San Lucas
We went to photograph an elopement wedding in Cabo San Lucas during the pandemic. Calethea & David decided to elope to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and celebrate their wedding with a intimate ceremony next to the beach. We had the opportunity to document the day as it unfolded. The pandemic affected the whole world, and it didn’t spare the wedding industry. During this uncertain and often disappointing time, the Coronavirus has led many couples to rethink their big day completely. Rather than dwell on lost opportunities, they have changed their mind on what they even want for their wedding. Elopement style weddings are on the rise amid the COVID-19 pandemic and that’s the reason why C&D have come to travel with a few guests only, mostly close family, and have their elopement wedding in Cabo San Lucas, at one of the most beautiful venue in Los Cabos, The Cape, A Thomson Hotel. The day began with David and Calethea getting ready for the day in separate rooms. After a final little rush, everyone made their way down to the ceremony where David saw Calethea for the first time walking down the aisle. The ocean made the perfect backdrop as guests witnessed the couple committing their lives to each other as the sun sank below the horizon. Once the ceremony was over, we made our way down to the beach where the newlyweds shared some quiet and intimate moments together. We finally got back to the lobby and played around with the surroundings of the hotel to capture some artistic portraits our couple will cherish forever. The celebration continued privately in a top end restaurant of Cabo San Lucas. We are so thankful to have had the privilege to witness such beautiful and intimate moments and we are very happy to share some of this elopement wedding in Mexico with you.
