A wedding at Casa Kimberly Puerto Vallarta. Casa Kimberly is definitely one of the most iconic places in Puerto Vallarta. Located in the upper part of the old town, this beautiful mansion now converted into a hotel is overlooking the sparkling waters of Banderas Bay and the red clay-rooftops that dot the Sierra Madre Mountains. The setting is irresistible, designed and appointed with magnificent antiques, crystal chandeliers, hand-painted tiles, and exquisite state-of-the art baths. Paris & Hunter knew that very well and they choose the romantic location to tell their vows. The history of this luxurious Boutique Hotel begins in 1962, when Burton came to the sleepy fishing village of Puerto Vallarta to star in director John Huston’s classic The Night of the Iguana. Burton and Taylor had met a few years before, on the set of Cleopatra, and were in the whirl of a scandalous romance—she was still married to Eddie Fisher, he to Sybil Williams. But they couldn’t bear to be apart. Perhaps as an oblique nod to propriety, Burton arranged for Elizabeth (as she preferred to be called) to stay in Casa Kimberly, directly across the street from his own casita. He built a bridge connecting the two—as handy for avoiding the paparazzi as it was for escaping their spirited fights—and gave Casa Kimberly to Taylor for her 32nd birthday in 1964. The lovebirds, who married and divorced each other twice, never lost their affection for Puerto Vallarta. Flying over the whole family and friends isn’t that easy with all the travel restrictions and last minute flight cancellations. Eloping became a good option for many couples tired to wait before telling each other their vows. Those newlyweds were no exception and we were lucky enough to be part of their romantic adventure. Elopement Wedding in Cabo San Lucas

We went to photograph an elopement wedding in Cabo San Lucas during the pandemic. Calethea & David decided to elope to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and celebrate their wedding with a intimate ceremony next to the beach. We had the opportunity to document the day as it unfolded. The pandemic affected the whole world, and it didn’t spare the wedding industry. During this uncertain and often disappointing time, the Coronavirus has led many couples to rethink their big day completely. Rather than dwell on lost opportunities, they have changed their mind on what they even want for their wedding. Elopement style weddings are on the rise amid the COVID-19 pandemic and that’s the reason why C&D have come to travel with a few guests only, mostly close family, and have their elopement wedding in Cabo San Lucas, at one of the most beautiful venue in Los Cabos, The Cape, A Thomson Hotel. The day began with David and Calethea getting ready for the day in separate rooms. After a final little rush, everyone made their way down to the ceremony where David saw Calethea for the first time walking down the aisle. The ocean made the perfect backdrop as guests witnessed the couple committing their lives to each other as the sun sank below the horizon. Once the ceremony was over, we made our way down to the beach where the newlyweds shared some quiet and intimate moments together. We finally got back to the lobby and played around with the surroundings of the hotel to capture some artistic portraits our couple will cherish forever. The celebration continued privately in a top end restaurant of Cabo San Lucas. We are so thankful to have had the privilege to witness such beautiful and intimate moments and we are very happy to share some of this elopement wedding in Mexico with you. Wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta

A wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta. Saturday February 29th was Karina & Josue’s big day and we had the honor to be part of it. They chose us to document their wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta, this beautiful venue located down the road to Boca de Tomatlán. Lost in the middle of the massive vegetation of the mountains and the ocean, Villa Mia offers a scenic view of the bay and Los Arcos of Puerto Vallarta. This stunning Location is one of the best wedding venue Puerto Vallarta has to offer. K&J wanted a pre-wedding photo session at the villa. We particularly enjoyed wandering in the tropical gardens and playing with the colorful architecture of the property. As we started with the ceremony, the sun slowly went down into the ocean, offering us a breathtaking visual show. The surroundings have gradually gone from a warm blue to incredible golden tones. A mix of shadows and light drew layers into the mountains and the gilded tint back-lighting the couple was worthy of the most romantic film scenes. Next the ceremony, we went to a huge rock overlooking the sea to get the formal family portraits done after a symbolic balloons release. The place was so perfect that we decided to fly the drone to capture that moment from all the angles we possibly could. Finally, a wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta couldn’t be perfect without the wedding party that everyone is waiting for. The venue has many floors with different options to meet everyone’s expectations. No matter if we are on a rainy day or like here, on a beautiful clear sky evening.
